You will usually want to look for a set of poppers in the crotch; this allows you to go to the toilet without having to take all your clothing off! Check out different rises in the leg. Just like with underwear, this is a matter of personal preference. You might prefer a high-cut leg, which runs across your hips, or one that is lower and offers more coverage.
