Normal underwear is fine for most days – but there are times when you need to bust out a set of gorgeous, sizzling women's lingerie. If you've got a big date, a major occasion, or you just want to give that special someone a sexy surprise, you'll need some great underwear to do it. In a set of well-fitting, matching underwear you'll feel ultra-confident, too. A basic set of lingerie consists of bras and bottoms, but there are plenty of different options out there. You might want a shorty dressing gown or a teddy. Stockings and garters are a high-maintenance choice that's definitely not for every day – but slipping into them will make you look super hot!
Finding lingerie for a special occasion
When you're choosing underwear for a special moment, think about the colour that you want. If you're looking for bridal lingerie, then the obvious shade is white; this style is usually made with plenty of lace, to echo your bridal dress. Not all women feel comfortable wearing white against their skin, though. If you're on the pale side, then bright white can leave you feeling washed out; you might prefer ivory, cream or champagne. For Valentine's Day, nothing beats red – which is sure to get pulses raising! You can also wear red for Christmas; there are usually some seasonal offerings out there, such as red underwear trimmed with white fur, to get you in the holiday mood. Sexy, mysterious black is another classic choice.
Lingerie for women who don't dare to bare
Showing off your almost-naked body in front of another person can be scary – but there are great alternatives for sexy underwear out there. Sexy does not have to mean skimpy. Instead of going for a thong, choose a pair of French knickers or boy shorts. These could have a lace trim, or a soft, satin finish. Another great way of adding sex appeal without showing off too much skin is with a long-line bra. This should sit just above or on your waist, and usually adds a panel of lace underneath the cups. A corset-style bra is a good option that will partly cover you, too. You can also consider teddies or bodies. These can look very sexy while still leaving a lot to the imagination!
